Ornamental Trees: Landscape Design, Planting, Cherry Tree, Pear Tree And Palm Trees

When looking for suitable ornamental trees for a landscape design, fruit trees like the cherry tree and the pear tree are naturally premium choices. This is because these trees serve two purposes: to bear fruit  and to produce attractive leaves in an assortment of colors. This is especially true for pear trees like the Chanticleer Ornamental,  which is known for producing variously-colored leaves in time with the changing of the seasons.

Typically, Chanticleers make excellent ornamental trees all throughout the year because they have leaves that adapt well with the existing season, usually producing the most appropriate shades. During summer, these ornamental trees sport glossy green leaves before adopting a dark red hue once autumn sets in. In the winter months, the Chanticleer will likely have silhouette-like leaves, while spring will see bring the appearance of creamy white flowers. These regular changes in leaf colors make Chanticleers ideal ornamental trees.

Meanwhile, the cherry tree is another popular choice for ornamental trees. In particular, one cherry tree type, the Yoshino, changes foliage color every season. In spring time, they usually have fragrant flowers, serving as perfect covers for their generally bare branches. Once summer makes its way, these ornamental trees will sport bright green leaves, turning bright yellow upon the entry of autumn. During winter, expect Yoshinos to have silhouette-like leaves casting dark shadows on their open branches.

Speaking of landscape design, this is one other area where ornamental trees become virtually indispensable. Most ornamental trees mainly serve as attractive decorations, but there are others that also happen to be good at providing shade and shelter. The palm tree is a good example, as it has leaves that can stretch for several meters, providing good shelter from the heat.

In addition, palm tree leaves are known for their attractive green colors, easily enabling them to catch the attention of anyone visiting a landscaped garden. Palm trees also need very little maintenance. After planting them, they will eventually provide the needed garden attraction even without much pruning, a plant process that many ornamental trees are required to have in order to become excellent eye-catchers.
